Hello my name is John Gross I live in Kansas City Missouri. I love Jesus, I love the way He takes weak and broken people and does really cool things with them. I am such a weak one and I hope you can find a little inspiration from the Life I get to live. You'll find the story of my Nut Shell in the About Me Tab. Check out the story of the Love I have for my wife on the poem for my wife Dianna Tab.Missions in general is my thing caring for widows and orphans has become my passion. I am very opinionated and I have written about a variety of topics everything from controversial issues in the church to stories that make me cry. See what you think and feel free to leave comments.
I am a simple guy that works 40 hours a week at a large pharmaceutical company and uses His spare time to do Mission outreaches from inner city to around the world. I have no formal education in writing, having a hard time even making it through high school but I love to tell stories pecking it out one letter at a time.
I was blessed beyond my abilities to write a book called The River Flows Down about my adventures in Uganda East Africa. You can check out the book at http://houseoffriends.org/riverflowsdown.html .
I have joined together with some of my good friends and we have started a 501 3 c for tax deductible giving and are pioneering an orphanage in Entebbe Uganda with Richard and Debra Kaaya. You can check it out at .

Wow. Yes. My favorite verse is James 1:2727 Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
So I basically love this.
Good work John Gross and Co! You can never go wrong in God’s eyes – loving the “one” orphan God gives you, hugging the one lonely person, being a listening ear. I think that God has another word for sucess, its called ‘love’. I hope that we can live by that definition of sucess- God knows Africa needs it, America does…. the whole world. What would the world look like if every Christian was driven by the power of love, not easily offended (o Lord I want to be like that!) and ready to just embrace the one person in front of them? This is the revival that is coming, I think.
I am looking for the name of the doctor |Diana saw in Kansas city for Cushings. I have a family history of Acromegleia…..and other similar syndromes. My primary doctor suspected Cushings, and tests leaned toward it. However, they ran a second set, and just left it as questionable. My pictures and symptoms align with hers, and I cant seem to get it off my mind. I feel something is wrong, its just not something many family doctors are familiar with. Could you possibly share the name with me?
John, thank you for the wonderful words at my brothers (Eddy Reber) funeral. Your words seamed to be well prepared but I know that they were not and you spoke purely from your heart.
Your words were focused on Jesus Christ and his healing grace.
I especially liked how you spontaneously made a comment on Cecilia (his daughter) where she asked the sound booth if she could ‘Start Over’ after loosing her composure while singing a memorial song for her dad.
As you said, it is really a a great thing to have a savior who allows us to ‘Start Over’ time and again, after we have made a mess of things.
What a wonderful God we server.
Thanks again John and a very special thanks for leading Eddy to the Lord.
In Eddy’s final pen, I have a document where he wrote these words:
“John, thank you for being my genuine friend. Without you, I would not have grown to live my life for God. You never left me when I did not obey. I Honor, Respect and Love you. See you in Heaven”….. Eddy
